Another honor for Toby Keith from the university he loved and supported. The University of Oklahoma is gifting Toby Keith with an honorary degree. The late country music icon will be awarded the degree posthumously next month, on May 11th during commencement.
A Tennessee castle that was made famous by Taylor Swift will soon be available to rent. Castle Gwynn was featured in the music video for “Love Story.” The owners plan to open it up for weddings and honeymoons by the end of the year. The castle is located about 40 minutes outside of Nashville.
A new exhibit at the Ryman Auditorium is focused on one infamous performance by Elvis Presley. The display centers on the 70th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s one-and-only performance at the Grand Ole Opry. A collection of artifacts and stories detail a not-so-well-received rendition of “Blue Moon of Kentucky.” The exhibit is part of the Ryman VIP Tour. It’s narrated by Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey.
Colt Ford took to his socials yesterday, his first appearance since suffering a major heart attack on stage about a month ago. Apologizing for missing shows and promising to come back, a big part of the message was gratitude to be alive and reminding us all to take care of ourselves.
