Today, the Awesome is in Atlanta, Georgia. Do you ever stop and think about the sequence of events that sometimes have to take place to be in the right place at the right time.  When my late wife needed a kidney, I found it at the Derby post office at a ticket stop.  That’s where I met Cindy Glazier who ultimately became her donor.  Random, right.  Now, to Atlanta where Amanda Hayhurst was at her son’s taekwondo class when she spotted a flyer. Upon reading it, she discovered that Vonchelle Knight, a single mother was in desperate need of a new kidney after an 8 year battle where Vonchelle was trying to stay alive for her two daughters. Amanda said her heart broke thinking about how those girls needed their momma, and after seeing this flyer in a most unlikely place, she said God called her to donate her kidney to a woman she didn’t even know. A great story with just a few days left in Donate Life month. Grab the tissues, watch the video, feel the relief and the joy and have a good ugly cry…cause I did.  Saving the life of a complete stranger with the selfless act of organ donation….THAT’S AWESOME.
