There is Awesome everywhere, today it’s in East Hartford, Connecticut. Two barbers, Osvaldo Lugo and Rafael Santana were busy in their barbershop. A typical scene of customers in the chair, talking and laughing. Then Osvaldo noticed a toddler running down the street heading right into the path of traffic. Dropping their combs, clippers and scissors – the two men ran after the toddler and it was all caught on security camera footage. Barbers are use to cutting it close, but not like this. They got there just in a nick of time before the child ran into traffic. The local fire department picked up on the video on social media and commended the barbers’ swift and decisive actions, acknowledging them as true heroes whose selfless intervention prevented what could have been a tragic accident. The toddler, thankfully unharmed, was reunited with his relieved mother. Being in the right place, at the right time to save a life, THAT’S AWESOME.
