Off to Westport, Massachusetts for today’s AWESOME! Malia Martinez is 11-years-old and has a heart of gold. She discovered sewing a little over a year ago and loves it. Then one day at a craft fair surrounded by humans and their dogs, Malia thought, why not make bandanas for dogs and sell them to support animal shelters. She started by donating the bandanas to her local shelter but soon, started selling. A few weeks ago, she donated more than $200 to a local shelter. She said the people at the shelter were really happy and giving the donation made her feel good inside. Giving from the heart for our four legged friends, THAT’S AWESOME.
