Food insecurity, food desert, just a couple of the terms that are all too common in communities across the country. When hard working middle and lower class families just want access to nutritious food options, sometimes they just aren’t there. At the height of the pandemic, a small group of volunteers wanted to make a difference so they started the Seva Collective.
The Seva Collective, a free drive-thru food pantry, is a grassroots initiative that today has currently provided four million meals to those in need. The Seva Collective continues to grow and expand its reach. What began with a handful of volunteers has blossomed into a sprawling network of support, with new volunteers joining the cause every day.
Kindness and compassion for those struggling to put food on the table…THAT’S AWESOME.
