The City of Wichita is continuing to work with security firms to restore systems after last weekend’s ransomware attack.

Some online services are still unavailable and there’s no timetable for getting them back online.   Credit card payments are not being accepted at this time, and residents should check with the service they are making payment to for more information on payments by cash or check.

The police and fire departments have taken steps to limit the impact of the cyberattack and a system is in place to monitor and respond to calls for service.  Water systems are functioning as normal.

The city Call Center phone numbers are working but live chat on the wichita.gov web site is unavailable at this time.

All Wichita Transit and paratransit services are free until further notice.

Wichita Park and Recreation is unable to make credit card transactions, either online or in person.  Residents are asked to register for programs at the recreation centers during operating hours.   The schedules of the centers are available at wichita.gov/722/Recreation-Centers

Golf Wichita is unable to process credit cards, and patrons should have cash or a check available when visiting the public golf courses.  Golf Wichita is not currently accepting any new membership applications.

The Brooks Landfill is accepting only cash.

Municipal Court staff will have access to docket and warrant information.  People can call 268-4611 to find out about current court dates.  There will be plenty of time for people to clear warrants when the court system is back to full operation.  There will be a process for people to clear warrants without arrest.   All scheduled dockets will continue as planned, and there is no walk-in docket at this time.

Eisenhower National Airport does not have public wi-fi and the arrival and departure screens are not currently working.  Flights are operating normally.

Public wi-fi is available at the the Alford, Angelou, Rockwell, Libby and Westlink library branches.   Staff can check out materials but checking in, pulling holds and transferring materials between locations may be on hold.   Public wi-fi is not available at the Advanced Learning Library, the Evergreen and Walters branches.
