The work of famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz will be on display in a new exhibit opening this weekend at the Wichita Art Museum.
The exhibit, ANNIE LEIBOVITZ/WORK is making its second stop in Wichita after a premiere at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. The exhibit has a mix of new and rarely-seen photographs alongside some of Leibovitz’s most famous images. It has photos and digital displays of a number of public figures, including Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Dolly Parton, Cindy Sherman, LeBron James, Shonda Rhimes, and Simone Biles. It also includes probing, intimate portraits of everyday Americans.
The exhibit will open at the Wichita Art Museum on Sunday, May 19th and it will run through September 1st. There will be a number of special events and activities scheduled during the summer and more information is available on the museum’s web site at wam.org
