A Valley Center man died at a hospital after he was found shot at his home early Sunday.
Valley Center police were called to a home in the 7400 block of North West Street around 1:45 a.m. and they found 46-year-old Kirk Stanley with a gunshot wound.
A 22-year-old woman was questioned and later released, and no arrests have been made.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office helped in the investigation at the scene, and officers from Kechi and Bel Aire also responded to the scene. The investigation is continuing and officials are waiting for autopsy results and other findings. The case will be reviewed by the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
