The Kansas Department of Transportation says crews are beginning work this week on a resurfacing of a major highway in Butler County.
The work will be done on K-196 from the Harvey-Butler County line to the K-254 junction at El Dorado. Crews will be doing scrub seal and chip seal work on the roadway. During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car, and motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
The $1.2 million project should be completed around June 5th.
