Officials in Greenfield, Iowa say at least four people are dead and 35 more injured after a tornado tore through the small town Tuesday night.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said the state will be requesting aid from the federal government. Much of the town of around two-thousand people was devastated by Tuesday’s twister that leveled homes and scattered cars and trees.
Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for 15 counties impacted by the severe weather. FEMA has also opened two disaster recovery centers in Iowa after Tuesday’s severe weather.
