The City of Wichita has had a number of reports of downed tree limbs after Saturday evening storms that brought winds of over 70 miles an hour.

The city issued a statement Sunday clarifying the policy on tree limb disposal.  Residents and business owners are responsible for the removal and disposal of any downed limbs and branches on their properties. The City of Wichita has an on-call crew assisting with branches in the streets where needed.

If downed trees or limbs are blocking a public right-of-way, residents may call 268-4003 between the hours of 7 am and 3:30 p.m. or 911 who will direct reports to the park and Recreation Forestry Department.
