At least 18 people are dead after severe weather struck parts of the country over the holiday weekend. Deaths were reported in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kentucky.

This comes as there were at least eleven reports of tornadoes on Sunday. Over 600-thousand people remain without power over 13 different states. The severe weather is expected to continue on Memorial Day.

President Biden is sending his condolences for those killed in the weekend storms. In a statement, Biden said he’s praying for those who lost their lives to tornadoes that struck Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The President said federal emergency officials are conducting damage assessments and they stand ready to provide any support needed.

Two people are dead after tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma. Officials say two people in Pryor died as a result of the storms that moved through the state Saturday night into yesterday morning. The National Weather Service says EF-three damage was found east of Claremore, north of Highway 20. More than 20 people in Claremore were injured during the storms.
