A lane closure is planned for northbound I-135 in north Wichita over the next few months.   Crews will be working on patching of the roadway.

The right lane of northbound I-135 will be closed from 2nd Street to 17th Street North, and the work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.  The work is expected to be completed in early November.

Once work on the right lane is completed, lane closures will be shifted so the left lane can receive maintenance. Maintenance work will occur in the middle lane during intermittent two-lane closures that will occur on weekends and at night throughout the project.  The night closures will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday, while weekend closures will be from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Delays are expected during weekend closures, and it is recommended that motorists find alternative routes.

During construction, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 mph in the work zone.
