The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has ten new deputies.
A graduation ceremony was held Thursday for the Spring Commissioned Law Enforcement Academy Class. The new deputies have completed 25 weeks of basic academy training, which included classes on communication, policy and procedure, legal issues, computer training and defensive tactics.
The recruits will begin eight weeks of field training where they will partner with veteran deputies on the streets.
