Police have arrested an 18-year-old Wichita man in connection with a shooting earlier this month that left four teenagers injured.
The suspect was booked into jail on several counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.
The arrest was made in connection with a July 11th shooting in the 2300 block of East Murdock. Officers found a 15-year-old boy who had been shot in the lower torso and the upper leg, and he was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Three other teens went to a hospital in a private car. Three men, ages 17, 18 and 19 were treated for gunshot wounds.
Police said the victims were walking on Murdock when a group when two men brought a gun and fired shots. There was a separate incident earlier at Central and Oliver where a man, not involved with the shooting, was assaulted during a confrontation between two groups of people. It’s believed that one of the groups was involved in the shooting on Murdock, and it’s believed that the shooting was gang related.
