Monday and Tuesday will be in-person enrollment days for the Wichita Public Schools.

Schools will have enrollment from noon to 7 p.m.  Parents who have students at multiple schools can complete enrollment for all of them at one school.   All kindergarten families need to enroll in person, and students will have an “Ages and Stages” questionnaire to complete to pinpoint their developmental progress.

Parents will need to provide documents that verify their home address, and the documents could include a rental receipt, lease agreement, a gas or electric bill, or a mortgage payment stub.

Parents who have enrolled online and paid enrollment fees do not need to enroll in-person unless they need to pay other fees, sign up for elementary latchkey, or get middle and high-school student ID badges.  IDs are also available on the first days of school.

All families are encouraged to complete and submit the Application for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals form and qualify in order to receive free or reduced-price meals, as well as free or reduced prices on textbook rentals, athletic fees, instrument rentals and student fees.  Parents can apply through LINQ Connect.  If they have any questions, they can contact Nutrition Services at 316-973-2160 or go to the web site KidsEat@usd259.net

There will be free vaccine clinics where families can get school-required vaccinations, and they will be held August 17th and August 24th at the Alvin Morris Administrative Center at 902 South Edgemoor.   More information is available at the web site www.usd259.org/healthservices

The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 14th.  All middle school and high school students who are new to their building will have a half-day orientation on Tuesday, August 13th.
