A Winfield woman was in the intensive care unit of a Wichita hospital after a motorcycle crash in Cowley County.
The crash was reported in the 3000 block of U.S. Highway 160, east of Winfield, around 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office said a motorcycle was going west when a white pickup failed to yield the right of way in making a turn from 21st Road. The motorcycle rider tried to stop but went out of control and crashed.
The rider, 62-year-old Gena Havner, was taken to a Wichita hospital with head injuries.
Deputies are still looking for the pickup and anyone with information is urged to contact the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office.
