Officials have identified the man who died Monday in a house fire in Pratt.
Crews were called to a home near West 3rd and South High Street around 3:30 p.m. They found a woman and three children who had safely evacuated, but the father apparently thought they were still in the house and he went inside. Police said 38-year-old Matthew Wright died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it’s believed to be from an electrical malfunction.
