The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said an employee was found not breathing inside the Textron Aviation plant in east Wichita, and he was pronounced dead.
Emergency crews were called to the plant at 9700 East Central shortly after 12 noon on Monday. They found 61-year-old Rocky Baldwin of Wichita in a facility paint booth, wearing a ventilator mask. Crews provided medical treatment on the scene, but Baldwin was pronounced dead around 12:30 p.m.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, with assistance from Sedgwick County Fire District 1 and the Sedgwick County Coroner’s Office.
