The Kansas Highway Patrol said a woman from Virginia was trapped overnight in her car after a crash on Interstate 70 in Geary County.
Emergency crews were called to the crash scene around 8 a.m. Monday, after a passing motorist reported seeing the wrecked car. It’s believed the crash happened shortly before midnight Sunday night, when a westbound car went off the roadway and into a ditch, ending up on its top.
The driver, 65-year-old Rhonda Moore of Wise, Virginia, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
