Today, the AWESOME is right here in Wichita. The 3rd and 4th graders from Franklin Elementary School did something very special on Monday. They got together and presented the pediatric unit at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis with a donation of musical instruments valued at over $2,000, 300 respiratory kits, and toys. How did they get the money to do this? It was a student-led and supported coin drive. It’s just another example of what student leadership, learning, and community outreach look like, and THAT’S AWESOME.
