Today, I salute Army Veteran Justin Patterson. He joined in 2001, and over 14 years, he completed multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan as a sniper. In 2008, a roadside bomb left Justin with severe head trauma. He brought the PTSD home with him and didn’t have much of an outlet to channel the things he saw during his service. That was until a friend of his introduced him to outdoor therapy. Justin instantly gravitated toward it because there were no pills, just the outdoors and nature. Now, Justin is the founder of the nonprofit, “10 Klicks Outdoors,” helping others discover healing through outdoor therapy. Thank you for helping others, Justin, and THANK YOU for your service.
