Today, I salute Veteran Bill Adkins. Bill served during the Vietnam War and knows firsthand about the benefits of a service dog to help him with his Parkinson’s and dementia. Sadly, his first dog, Elroy, was given to him and taken from him by the national organization Paws With A Cause because they deemed him unfit to care for Elroy. Not giving up, the Roll Call Foundation stepped in and found another service dog, a little 8-week-old puppy named “Tank.” It will take two years for Tank to be trained to help Bill. In the meantime, Bill vows to help other Veterans who need service animals get the care they need. Thank you for helping other Veterans Bill, and THANK YOU for your service.
