Today, the AWESOME is in Fort Worth, Texas. Laura Wiley had put in the 12 years of work and was planning on walking across the stage with her friends to get her diploma when a sudden illness landed her in the hospital the day before graduation. She had a kidney infection that turned septic, and that moment she had worked so hard for was gone. Laura’s mom told the hospital doctors and nurses about how disappointed Laura was, and they stepped in and did something quite unexpected.
