One day, he was pushing his ice cream cart down the road in the sweltering Florida heat when a TikTok creator shot a short video saying, “Everyone locally knows and loves Don Tomas for his hard work and dedication, selling ice cream for many years. He’s a beloved part of our community, and he deserves to have better conditions.” A GoFundMe page was then created with the hopes of helping Don. The internet helped in a big way, and so far, has raised about $30,000 for Don to buy him an ice cream truck. Soon, Don will bring more joy thanks to more frozen treats, all thanks to the kindness of strangers, and THAT’S AWESOME.
