Today, the AWESOME is in Big Arm, Montana. 72-year-old Kyle Geyer was going about her normal routine on her riding lawn mower at her home above Lake Flathead when the accident happened. The mower flipped, and she was pinned underneath it. To make matters worse, the weight of the machine was making it hard for her to breathe and yell for help. She lay there for about four hours, convinced she was about to take her last breath, when two teenagers, who were on the lake fishing from their jet skis, saw Kyle’s last desperate attempt at waving her arms to get someone’s attention. It worked! Danny Fehr and Channing Thomson, both 14, both from Billings, came to her rescue. Kyle spent four nights in the hospital with a fractured vertebra and a severely bruised ribcage. She calls them her guardian angels. Being in the right place at the right time, THAT’S AWESOME.
