Today, the AWESOME is in Australia. German tourist Carolina was on the trip of a lifetime in the Australian Outback when she crashed her van down a slope. She suffered a significant head injury, was disoriented from the accident, and left the van—despite having food, water, and clothing—she became lost. She endured 11 nights in the wild, suffering freezing nighttime temperatures, a foot injury, a head injury, and relentless mosquito bites. A few days ago, Carolina was discovered by a local farmer, walking barefoot along a remote, unsealed road more than 19 miles from where she had abandoned her van. Caroline said she was beyond grateful to have survived the ordeal. Never giving up and the will to survive, THAT’S AWESOME!
