Don’t call it watering restrictions, call it a watering plan. If the city of Wichita moves away from its current one-day-a-week watering restrictions, the new drought plan could be changed to a three-day-a-week watering plan, similar to one in Oklahoma City.
The Wichita Public Schools’ free summer meal program, that provides breakfast and lunch to all kids while out of school, will end Friday. To fill the gap before school starts again, the Kansas Food Bank will distribute five days’ worth of free breakfasts and lunches.
