Honeretta, who has autism, often turns running into a game—and this time, it led her straight into traffic. Tynetta remembers the panic she felt as her granddaughter gained distance, heading toward the Main Street Bridge. Desperately, she called out for help, and someone answered. A man named Weldon sprinted into the street, stopping traffic to reach Honeretta just in time. They later learned he was currently experiencing homelessness, but when they offered him something for his good deed, he declined, saying he was just happy to help.
