NASCAR driver Connor Zilisch won a race at Watkins Glen on Saturday, and afterward, he climbed to the top of his car to celebrate. But he slipped and fell off, and slammed headfirst into the concrete below. It didn’t look good, and he had to be wheeled off in a gurney. Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been. That evening, Connor posted this update: “I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics . . . [I’m] grateful it wasn’t any worse.” His dad, Jim, had a sense of humor after it. He said, “[The] silver lining is: Pooping himself is no longer Connor’s most embarrassing moment.”
What happened to Connor in victory lane. He's been taken to the infield care center at this time.#NASCAR https://t.co/cJLBWk4O1Y pic.twitter.com/LAZ0j2VTjY
