Today, I salute Veteran Lue Reynolds. Lue was always quick to help others, like Yvette and Reggie Anderson. Over time, the couple realized that Lue was homeless and spent much of his time bouncing from friend’s couch to friend’s couch, and when he wasn’t volunteering, he could be found spending his days at the local library. Yvette and Reggie made it their mission to do something for Lue, who spends so much time doing for others, so they made a promise to find Lue housing, and they did. 2 weeks ago, Yvette and Reggie helped Lue move into a new one-bedroom apartment, furnished thanks to their network of friends. Lue said, “Words won’t come out how I feel about this,” Reynolds said. “I have to hit myself when I walk in the lobby to make sure this is happening. It’s been a long journey. This is a dream come true.” Congratulations on your new apartment, Lue, and THANK YOU for your service.
