Today, I salute World War II Veteran Richard Rossi and the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund. Earlier this year, Richard was honored at a Florida Panthers game as a “Hero Among Us,” but something else followed. A local news anchor connected Richard with the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and started the process of getting Richard the dental care he desperately needed. Thanks to a local partner, Richard was able to get an appointment and is now getting all the dental work he needs, free of charge. According to the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, 85% of military veterans are not qualified for V-A dental care. The organization also provides critical help to veterans in need. Congratulations on getting that healthy smile back, Richard, and THANK YOU for your service.
