Today, I salute Veteran Nick Powers. When Nick left the military, he struggled with finding his place in civilian life. He experienced a lot of distractions; there were some problems with his marriage and other stresses caused by his time in the military. Then Nick moved to Roatan, Honduras, to shut out the noise, and he started scuba diving. He then founded Warfighter Scuba, a nonprofit of divers who help combat-wounded veterans heal emotional and physical wounds. Warfighter Scuba brings camaraderie and community to veterans who struggle to find support systems that understand their unique burdens. Thank you, Nick, for helping other Veterans, and THANK YOU for your service.
