The man accused of attempting to kill then-presidential candidate Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach, Florida, golf course last September was found guilty yesterday. Shortly after the verdict, the would-be assassin—representing himself—grabbed a pen off a desk and tried to stab himself in the neck before marshals removed him from the courtroom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jimmy Kimmel is back. The late-night host and his show returned to a 7-minute standing ovation last night. In his opening monologue, he said it was never his intention to make light of the killing of a young man. He went on to thank fans of the show and those who aren’t fans for supporting free speech, saying, “This show is not important; what’s important is that we live in a country that allows us to have a show like this.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

And a small Canadian town is trending for fifty million reasons. A group of 14 people in St-Paul’s River, Quebec, a fishing village of about 150 residents, had bought tickets for nearly two decades as part of a pool. A few days ago, the numbers hit for $50M, which means about 10 per cent of residents are now multimillionaires.
