Today, the AWESOME is in Washington, DC. Zachary Battle was truly in the right place at the right time the other day when he was driving by a senior apartment complex and saw thick, black smoke pouring out. Without hesitating, he stopped his car and ran toward danger and into the burning building. He ran to the top floor, where he heard a man yelling for help, saying his wife was bedridden and needed help to get out. By the time Zachary got the man and his wife to safety, first responders were on the scene to help. There is no doubt that Zachary’s fast actions that day saved their lives, and THAT’S AWESOME.
