Today, I salute Virginia Army National Guard Combat Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Brian Moore. He and his wife, Raquel, sold their house in Appomattox four years ago. They bought some land and now have a homestead in Bedford County. They’ve poured their lives into creating a place that they call their “sanctuary,” but one piece of it needed upgrading. It started by turning a shed into a home with no running water and a porta-potty.
That’s where John Gallina, CEO and co-founder of Purple Heart Homes, stepped in. He and his team decided to step in, hoping to make a difference in Brian’s life. Thanks to Purple Heart Homes and corporate sponsors, Brian and Raquel received their keys to the first Purple Heart Homes tiny home in Virginia. Congratulations on your new home, Brian, and THANK YOU for your service.
