Today, I salute Army Veteran David W. Lockhart from New York. David joined the Army in 1981 as a food service specialist. David earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, which is awarded to members of the U.S. Armed Forces for heroism, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service while serving with the Army. Finally, he was given the Army service ribbon and the Overseas service ribbon. Recently, David was honored with the appointment to serve as the National Historian for the American Legion during the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Congratulations David and THANK YOU for your service.
