Despite a bid from the White House to award the Nobel Peace Prize to President Trump, the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded this morning to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado for her pro-democracy work.
Wichita is going bananas over the news that ‘Banana Ball’ is coming to Wichita and Equity Bank Park in May. The Savannah Bananas baseball team announced a huge tour for next year, and there are 3 dates in Wichita. The fun, banana ball style of baseball will feature the Firefighters v the Coconuts May 7th, 8th, and 9th. Fans can enter a ticket lottery now through October 31st.
Don’t wig out, but if you’ve ever been to Leila’s Hair Museum in Independence, Missouri, it is closing its doors after 30 years. The museum houses 3,000 pieces of hair art curated from around the world, made from human hair. Some of the art is said to have come from past presidents, Marilyn Monroe, and Ozzy Osbourne. The museum’s owner recently passed away, and now her granddaughter is combing the country and the world for places to take unique works of art so she can shed herself of the responsibility.
