Today, I salute Army Vetearn La Fran Marks. In 1990, Marks graduated high school, then went to college and earned his degree in political science. After graduation, he left Birmingham to serve in the Army. During his time in the Army he earned two master’s degrees. It was his 25 years in the Army that gave him the real education when it comes to wine. La Fran said that’s where his exposre to wine came, while he traveled through different countries like France, Italy and Greece. Now, La Fran is ready to take his hobby and passion for wine and turn it into a business by opening a winery in April.
