His kidneys were failing, and dialysis became a temporary lifeline: four hours a day, three days a week, tethered to a machine that kept him alive but stole his freedom. His career in the car business vanished. His daily routine disappeared. He needed a transplant and made a desperate plea on Facebook in hopes of finding a living donor, after friends and family who came forward were not a match. 39-year-old father of 3 and DoorDash driver Joe Turner saw the post and said he was guided by faith to donate his kidney.
