Conditions will quickly deteriorate this morning as landfall is expected this afternoon. Hurricane Melissa is a category 5 storm, with 175 mph sustained winds, gusts well over 200 mph, and is expected to dump over 30 inches of rain on top of a dangerous 15-foot storm surge.
