The Toronto Blue Jays are one game away from winning the World Series thanks to a record-setting performance by their rookie pitcher. In last night’s game 5, Trey Yesavage struck out 12 batters, and that was enough to break the MLB record for most strikeouts by a rookie in a World Series game. The Blue Jays could win it all tomorrow night at home in Game 6.
Halloween is meant to be scary, but not like this. State and local government officials, as well as law enforcement officials, are warning parents and caregivers to be extra vigilant when checking the packaging of candy and snack products. Some states, like Michigan, have uncovered counterfeit candy and snacks containing THC and hallucinogenic mushroom products while executing a search warrant at a local residence.
And if you have a hatred for candy corn like I do, and you’re going trick-or-treating tomorrow, I have bad news. Your odds of getting candy corn in your pillow case are high. New research shows that Mississippi is the number one state where trick-or-treaters are likely to get candy corn at just over 45%. Kansas came in 5th at 41.6%. The state least likely to hand out the devil’s candy—Hawaii, where there is only a 11.3% chance of getting candy corn. Now that’s what I call paradise.
