Today, I salute Marine Veteran Richard Casper and actor and philanthropist Gary Sinise. Gary has been a long-time friend and supporter of Veterans and Veteran causes. So much so, a few years ago, he started the Gary Sinise Foundation. His latest project is in Nashville. Thanks to Gary and his foundation and a donation of $1 million, a once-abandoned church in Nashville is having new life breathed into it, creating a new place of hope and healing for Veterans. The work is being done through CreatiVets, a non-profit founded by Marine Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Richard Casper. CreatiVets helps veterans process trauma through art, music, writing, and creative expression. Casper’s vision for the new center is to create a welcoming space where Veterans can turn pain into something beautiful. I appreciate your support, Gary.
