Today, the AWESOME is in Minnesota. Two people from Minnesota who met in the hospital after waking up from comas have quite a story to tell. 9 days separated Richard and Isabel when they were hospitalized. Richard’s coma was a result of high school football, and Isabel’s was a multi-vehicle accident. After they both woke from their comas and met in the hospital, they stayed in touch on Facebook. Years later, when the families got together for dinner, he asked for her number. That led to a first date, and eventually more. The two have now been together for a year. To make the story even sweeter, Richard bent the knee, asked for Isabel’s hand, and she said yes. When love truly conquers all, THAT’S AWESOME.
