Today, the AWESOME is where Karl Bushby has been. In 1998, Karl looked down a road in Chile and decided he would walk all the way home to Hull, England. He thought the journey would take 8 years. Now, in the home stretch and after a financial crisis in 2008, a global pandemic, walking 36,000 miles, surviving polar bears, swimming across seas, and navigating countless visa setbacks, the 56-year-old ex-paratrooper is ready to reunite with family again. Oh, the home stretch is still going to require about another year of walking since he’s still about 2,000 miles away. An incredible journey loaded with incredible stories, THAT’S AWESOME.
