Today, the AWESOME is in Disney World. Taking kids to Disney World is a dream for many parents. However, for the Stauder family, that dream was the farthest thing from their minds. Their son Xiaden was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and faced enormous medical challenges from the very beginning. Recently, doctors told the family that their time with Xaiden was coming to an end, and they needed to go home and make memories while they could. That’s when they got a message from Kelly Shotwell, who saw Xaiden’s story. Kelly and his family were on a Disney vacation, and they reached out to the Strauders, invited them to join them, found flights, a rental car, and a place to stay. Most importantly, provided priceless memories in the short time that was left, and THAT’S AWESOME.
