Today, I salute 82-year-old Army Veteran Paul Grizelle-Reid. Paul moved to Florida to take care of his brother with Parkinson’s disease. While there, he decided to enroll in a Spanish class at Valencia College. That led Paul to pursue his associate’s degree. The best part, while at Valencia, Paul took nearly all of his classes in person, forming strong bonds with his fellow students and professors. Paul completed his Associate in Arts degree coursework during the summer term and is now working toward a bachelor’s degree in English literature at the University of Central Florida. With all these accomplishments, Paul has become the oldest graduate in the history of Valencia College. Thank you for inspiring Paul, and THANK YOU for your service.
