Today, I salute U.S. Army Veteran Nick Rinn. Nick loves Oregon; he grew up there, and after high school, he decided to go into the U.S. Army as a construction equipment operator. He spent 2 years on active duty and 9 years in the Army National Guard. Nick also worked security at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Since then, he has found real purpose as a rescue diver. Nick founded Oregon Rescue Divers. It’s a job that’s not for everyone. Nick explains that there are certain things that he and his crew do that a lot of people probably wouldn’t want to do. And they shouldn’t have to. Body recovery is a unique form of using your scuba diving skills, and he focuses on the job and the things he sees so others don’t have to.
