Today, I salute Amanda Yount, her Marine husband Josh, and the Veterans they are helping. Veterans like Terry Glinnon. Glinnon, 75, is a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War. After he left the military, he battled drug addiction and run-ins with law enforcement for many years. Lacking permanent housing, he split time sleeping in his broken-down vehicle or on a friend’s sofa. As he aged and health issues increased, he knew that his lifestyle wasn’t sustainable. That’s when Amanda got involved. Amanda and her husband Josh founded the North Idaho Veterans’ Village to provide housing for homeless Veterans like Terry. Amanda, who is the CEO and founder, receives donated RVs, fixes them up, and provides them to veterans at no cost. Veterans only have to pay for propane and trash pickup. Thank you for helping Veterans Amanda and Josh, and thank you, Terry and Josh, for your service.
