A mom who used to live in Derby and has since moved to Missouri went through something no parent should ever have to endure. Just after the new year, her 13-year-old daughter Aria took her life. Then she found the letter Aria had written to country star Megan Moroney. What followed was a gut-wrenching video that mom Adriana shared, hoping the internet would do its thing and that Megan would find out about Aria, who was one of Megan’s biggest fans. Thankfully, the internet succeeded, and Megan wrote Adriana back in hopes that her words and some flowers would comfort her.

and an Oklahoma State Senator wants to honor the memory of Toby Keith. State Senator Lisa Standridge has filed a bill to name the Norman, Oklahoma bridge that passes over I-35 and Indian Hills Road the Toby Keith Memorial Bridge. The bill also proposes that any future structures built in the bridge’s place be named the Toby Keith Memorial Interchange. Furthermore, the bill seeks to name the section of Indian Hills Road from I-35 to Interstate 44 the Toby Keith Parkway, and another bridge that was built over the Canadian River is to be called the Should’ve Been a Cowboy Bridge.
